As alms mendicants following the Buddha’s ancient monastic way, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of the lay community for our sustenance. We do not buy any groceries but rely on donations of groceries or cooked food for our daily meal.
If you would like to offer the daily meal (dana) to the Hermitage residents; or if you live in Ottawa and would like to drive so that others can offer the meal, please write or call to let us know.
Long-distance donations of food can be made by phone through grocery stores in Perth. For more information, please write to the Hermitage. hermitage@satisaraniya.ca
We welcome donations of currently needed items on our dana list.
